ThermiVa is an in-office, non-hormonal, non-surgical procedure that uses radiofrequency to improve elasticity of external labial and internal vaginal tissues as well as the tissues that support the bladder. This treatment is a great alternative to mesh procedures for incontinence, surgical labia repair, as well as long-term medications like vaginal estrogen or overactive bladder medications.
ThermiVa Treatment Focuses:
- Vaginal/Vulva Dryness or Atrophic Vaginitis – treatment thickens the tissue and increases moisture both internally and externally. Most post-menopausal women no longer need vaginal estrogens or lubricants
- Mild to Moderate Stress Incontinence – treatment can improve leakage and urge symptoms
- Painful Intercourse/Orgasmic Dysfunction – can result in increased sensitivity, improved muscular contractions, increased sensitivity in both the clitoris and vulva
- Vaginal Laxity – tightens the vagina and labial tissues; reduces sagging and improves asymmetry, decreases discomfort during intercourse
ThermiVa is performed in 3 treatments that last approximately 40 minutes each, over the course of 3 months. The treatments involve application of gentle heat to the vagina and vulva. There is no down time and you can resume all normal activity; including intercourse – same day!
